Welcome to Curve Pilates, I am Body Control qualified Pilates teacher, based in Borough, London Bridge, SE1.

I believe that Pilates really can make a difference, both physically and mentally to our day to day lives. Pilates is an exercise system that looks at moving in a controlled and focused way, improving our core strength, flexibility, balance, joint mobility and just generally getting us to feel more in control of our bodies. PiIates can be helpful for all different needs, whether you want to include it in your weekly routine or for a more specific injury /diagnosis or just to help with long term lower back issues.

I am a Low Back Pain practitioner (Back4Good) which is recognised by the Backcare Charity, a Franklin Method Pelvic Floor Fascia Trainer, a Menopause specialist trained through Menopause movement and I am qualified to work with bone health, postnatal and pregnant clients.


Pilates Mat Classes in SE1

I currently run five public weekly Pilates classes in the SE1 area.

Monday - 8pm - Bermondsey Central Hall, 256 Bermondsey Street SE1 3UJ

Tuesday - 7pm & 8.05pm - Bermondsey Central Hall, 256 Bermondsey Street SE1

Saturday - 8.30am & 9.45am - Bermondsey Village Hall, Leathermarket Gardens, Kirby Row SE1 3TD

My classes are kept small with a maximum of 12 people. In our class we use various props to add challenge and variety, this bands, magic circle, weights and various Pilates balls. The aim of the session is always to get our bodies moving in all directions, using different muscle groups and joints, to strengthen, stretch and improve our overall movement while still have a little bit of fun!

Beginners are welcome as we can adapt the exercises but the class also caters for those who want to make Pilates part of their regular weekly routine. The class is also suitable if you have been referred from a Physio/Doctor as long as you have been cleared to exercise, although it may be prudent to consider a couple of 1:1 sessions if there are specific issues that you need addressing before joining the general class but please contact me to discuss. Please note that my general classes are not suitable while pregnant.

Pilates in your home

In a private 1:1 session, I can create a Pilates program that is suited just for you. You may want to decrease lower back pain, strengthen after a baby, work specifically around a medical condition, improve your running or just generally get fitter in the privacy of your own home.

In our weekly sessions, I will create a dedicated program that will look at moving your body in all areas but with the focus to help with your specific objective. If you have been referred from a Physio, I can help to incorporate your given exercises as well as progress you once ready. I currently have private clients with a variety of needs and I really feel passionate that Pilates can help improve peoples bodies for the better.

I am a Back4Good Low Back Pain Practitioner and a Franklin Method Pelvic Floor Fascia teacher and I have additional qualifications in teaching people with Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, menopause, postnatal & throughout pregnancy.
